Improving the Production Standards of Herbal Medicines in the Country through Public-Private Collaboration

A joint project involving several knowledge-based companies, research centers, and government institutions has been launched with the aim of enhancing the production standards and obtaining international certifications for herbal medicine products. This project includes improving quality control processes, upgrading production equipment, and implementing training programs for manufacturers and quality control experts.

According to the project officials, the main focus is on harmonizing the quality of domestic products with internationally accepted standards and facilitating exports to global markets. This initiative can pave the way for Iranian producers to enter the global supply chain and elevate the position of Iranian herbal products in target markets.

Within the framework of this project, advanced reference laboratories will be established to conduct precise testing on raw materials and final products. Additionally, collaborations with reputable international institutions have been set up to accelerate the certification process.

Experts in the field of herbal pharmaceuticals believe that implementing such programs will not only increase the trust of domestic consumers but also significantly boost Iran’s herbal product export capacity and contribute to the sustainable growth of the industry.
