A product identifier is an identifier that is assigned to a set of product characteristics, including descriptive fields such as type, gender, model, brand name, and type of use that are effective in the commercial description of the product. By registering the descriptive fields in the product identifier system by the user, it is recognized as a common language and a factor in identifying the product in the country's trade chain.

A product identifier may be an internal identifier that is given to the user by the product identifier system or a valid international code such as the GTIN identifier. Since this code is the key code of the product identification, by calling it, the product identification information is provided to the inquirer.

Each company must receive a separate IRC code for all sizes or models of a product. The process is as follows: first, the company registers the parent IRC code in the product registration section and then receives a child IRC code by entering the GTIN code and the correct description of that size or model. If the IRC is not visible on the product, the following should be noted:
• The product registration form in the Medical Equipment and Supplies System is completed and the registration is finalized. (Refer to the Product Registration Guide)
• The GTIN code is included in the product registration form.
• The UMDNS and the selected product tree are correct. The selected product tree must have a UMDNS code.
• The company's legal information is registered in the TTAC system and the company has applied for membership in the TTAC system.
• The company's field of activity (medical equipment) must be selected.
• The national ID of the TTAC system and the medical equipment system must be the same.
